Anna is a 20 year old social work student based in Brisbane, Australia. On weekends she sells shoes in order to pay the bills and fund her DIY addiction. She lives with her family and enjoys music, food, friends, the beach, running and making lists. In 2011 she met her wonderful boyfriend, and together they dream of transforming his small suburbia home into a beach cottage… full of tranquility, shells, wood and lots of white.
It’s a sad little place at the moment, but has lots of potential. By potential, we’re talking great position, wooden siding, quaint windows, high ceilings, wooden floors, moulded architraves and a big backyard. The list of things-to-fix is a lot longer than the list of things-that-don’t-need-fixing, but as evidenced by Sarah in abeachcottage.com, miracles can happen. Miracles that are cheap and creative and make you say wow. So here’s hoping something similar will happen here! She’s inspiration #1 along with a number of excellent blogs you can access in the sidebar.
Like most Real Life Girls, Anna spends her time trying to balance everything life throws at her, while also desperately attempting to appear like she has it all together. But in those special times when she has time coming out of her paws she dodges a household full of chickens, ducks, and housemates to embark on her DIY adventures.
So join her along a journey to achieve their dreams – a journey packed with fun, creativity, tears and excitement. Welcome to My Driftwood Dreams!
